TRON LEGACY (Kosinski, 2010): I like to start with the positive, so here goes: I wish Olivia Wilde’s haircut would look that cute on me, Daft Punk’s music is great, and the visuals are pretty nifty from time to time. I’ll even cop to enjoying Bridges’ reprise of his Dude character (“you’re messing with my Zen thing, man!”), but the movie really fizzles after a somewhat promising first half hour (say, until the light cycle race), getting altogether too metaphorical/preachy/sentimental. Michael Sheen manages to breathe a bit of energy back into the proceedings, but the movie limps to its end.
