COMMANDO (Lester, 1985) - I always identify movies by their director, but let’s be honest: this is not “a Lester film”, it’s a Schwarzenegger movie all the way, perhaps the purest distillation of the concept ever made. It’s one of BF’s favorite movies, and this was my second time watching it, after a great, filling dinner with my parents that was rather - as the french say - “arrosé”. The movie’s so simplified and schematic it almost veers into parody (see still above), but there’s not a dull moment and the one-liners are choice.
