WINNIE THE POOH (Anderson, 2011) - I was utterly charmed by this one, and so was BF. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it’s very playful, with Pooh interacting with the narrator and with the text. There are also fun experiments with the animation style; most is very classic, but there’s a sequence animated like it’s drawn with chalk on a slate that’s wonderful. The music is a bit too twee, and the characters are really defined by just one character trait, but the movie doesn’t overstay its welcome, and it’s so pleasant and good-natured that you don’t feel like nitpicking.
